Obituary for Charles A Bowden

JEFFERSON, MAINE
Charles A. Bowden, age 66, died unexpectedly Monday, December 24, 2018 at his daughters home. He was born in Augusta, ME on June 27, 1952 a son of the late George W. and Dora A. (Tibbetts) Bowden.
Mr. Bowden attended Augusta school and was a US Army veteran, serving two years at the end of the Viet Nam War.
He had been employed for many years at Pierpont Construction and a Truck Driver and Machine Operator. He previously worked for several years at Lipman Poultry.
Mr. Bowden was pre-deceased by a brother, Walter Bowden.
He is survived by two daughters: Loretta L. Burk and her husband William of Pittston and Crystal G Armstrong and her husband Aaron of Windsor; two brothers: George Bowden, Jr. and Bradley Bowden and his wife Shari all of Whitefield; four sisters: Sally Blair and her husband Terry, Lois Brown and her husband David and Carol Cooley and her husband Arthur, all of Whitefield and Gladys Lewis of South China; his former wife of 24 years and friend of many more, Kathy Williams of Windsor; five grandchildren, a great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following cremation, a gathering for family and friends will be held from 1-3 PM on January 5th at Plummer Funeral Home, Windsor Chapel, 983 Ridge Rd., Rt. 32, Windsor where a memorial service will take place at 3 PM. Burial will be in the spring in the family lot at Whitefield Cemetery, Whitefield.
