Obituary for F. Allan Carnahan

F. Allan Carnahan, of Curriers Rd., Arcade, died Monday December 31, 2018 in Absolut at Aurora Park, East Aurora, at the age of 81.

He was born January 18, 1937 in Cherry Creek, New York a son of the late Kenneth LeRoy and Dorothy Sara (nee Pollard) Carnahan. He received an Associate's Degree in Animal Husbandry from Alfred University. He was an industrial mechanic for Fisher Price in Holland and attended the First Baptist Church in Arcade.

He was a former member of the Strykersville Fire Department & Rescue Squad and taught First Aid and CPR classes for Wyoming County. He enjoyed traveling in his RV and was a member of the Western New York "Winnies".

His wife Gail A. (nee Gens) Carnahan whom he married July 11, 1959 in Forestville, died September 4, 2016.

He is survived by his sons - Donald (Deborah) Carnahan of Arcade, Gary (Christine) Carnahan of Rochester; six grandchildren - Sarah (Kevin) Reed, Benjamin Carnahan, Chelsea Carnahan, Abbey Brown, James Carnahan, Catriona Carnahan; great-grandchild - Haley Reed; brother - LeRoy (Marilyn) Carnahan of Cape Coral, FL; sister - Helen (Alvin) Sager of Brocton and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter - Marjorie "Marji" Carnahan who died August 22, 2010 and a sister - Artha Nichols.

Friends may call Saturday January 5, 2019 from 2-3 pm at W. S. Davis Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade, where a memorial service will follow at 3 pm.
