Joseph S. Sabol Sr. of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, formerly of Warminster, passed away at the home of his daughter on December 31, 2018. He was 98.
He was the husband of the late Virginia Bortolus Sabol who together shared 67 years of marriage.
He was a WWII veteran who served in the US Army 702nd Tank Battalion Headquarters Company.
He was a quiet man, but a big jokester. He loved to be outside in the warm weather working in his vegetable garden and enjoying a cigar. When the cold weather arrived, he read many WWII books and enjoyed looking at coins. His greatest love was playing with his great-grandchildren.
His love and legacy live on through his two sons, Joseph (Lauran), Robert (Denise) and daughter, Denise Schoenewald (Michael), followed by his 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who were the light of his life.
Joseph’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday January 7, 2019 at St.. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Pike, Chalfont, PA., where the family will receive friends after 10:00 am until the time of Mass. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery.
