Obituary for Parker Jack Haire

PARKER JACK HAIRE
Parker J. Haire, 21, of Cass City died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in Huron County. He was born September 29, 1997 in Saginaw, the first of two children born to Clarke Roy and Karen (Burck) Haire.
Parker graduated 2016 from Cass City High School, where he excelled both academically and in athletics. He graduated 11th in his class and was a National Honor Society member. He was a stand-out athlete in football, basketball and track and field, and was a Paul Smarks Outstanding Athlete Award recipient. At the time of his death, Parker was a junior at Michigan State University in East Lansing, where he earned Dean’s List honors studying Actuarial Science. During fall semester 2018, Parker was a T.A. for a pre-calculus class at MSU. Parker loved and supported Michigan State University. He truly appreciated his college life and taking part in all there was to offer in East Lansing, and looked forward to his summer internship at Aon Corp. in Chicago, IL. Parker also loved the outdoors, especially northern Michigan. He was an avid downhill skier and enjoyed waterskiing, boating, and hiking.
Parker is survived by his parents, Clarke and Karen Haire; sister, Kacey Haire of Cass City; aunts and uncles: Lynn Haire and Larry Sroka of Plymouth, BJ Haire and Roger Salo of Plymouth, Ken and Laura Burck of Clinton Township; his cousins: Susi Sroka (Randy) Kost and their children Annabelle and Henry, James (Elizabeth) Sroka, Jeffrey Sroka, Madeline Salo, Grace Salo, Cynthia Salo, Suzanne (Marcus) Zevalkink and their children Lily and Max, Alex Nielsen, Tyler Konwinski, Joseph Burck; step-grandmother, Esther Allen Haire of Freeland. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Ronald and Rosemary Burck, John and Dorothy Haire.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2019 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Brad Spiers of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Pallbearers for Parker: James Sroka, Jeffrey Sroka, Matt White, Kyle Lewis, Tommy Grahf, Justin Newberry, Daymon Tabako, Michael Rader, Keith Lounsbury, and Drew Loomis. Memorials may be made to Parker J. Haire Memorial MSU Scholarship Fund.
