Born in Stillwater Medical Center on November 6, 1984 to Ted and Susan O’Donnell he lived most of his life in the Lincoln and Payne County areas. He graduated from Carney Schools, participating in all sports and spending all of his young school life there. He attended Northern Oklahoma College on a baseball scholarship and eventually earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at East Central University, Ada, OK. As an adult Ty followed the family tradition and became a plumber and a member of Local 344 Plumbers and Pipe fitters out of Oklahoma City, where he was employed at his death. He married Ashley Savage on August 23, 2008 and they have a daughter, Tyley Dawn. They were later divorced.

Ty was a member of Scottish Rite Guthrie Valley as a 32nd Degree Master Mason and Albert Pike Masonic Lodge #162 in Guthrie as a Third-Degree Master Mason. He also was Oklahoma CLEET certified. Ty loved his God and was an active member of the United Methodist Church. He leaned on the guidance of his spiritual mentor, Janey Wilson. Ty made great friendships during his time at Carney Schools and at East Central University. He loved being out with people, laughing and sharing good times. But, above all, he loved his Dad and Mom and his family: never failing to tell them so. He spent wonderful times with Tyley, his daughter, watching her in school functions and at holidays. He relied on his nephew and best friend, Jake O’Donnell, for loyal friendship through the troubles and joys of life.

Ty is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Laurel O’Donnell of Carney and his maternal grandparents, Bob and Ruth Loftin of Coyle; two cousins, Josh Baker and Brian Loftin.
