Mrs. Powers was the kindest and most caring person I have ever met, with her passing I have lost someone so very dear to my heart. She was so giving and always went to great links to make me feel welcome in their home. Bess and Sam have long been a major part of my life, even upon my return to Oklahoma State in 1985; Bess helped me get the classes I needed and Sam was my first instructor. After I graduated and left Stillwater they both would reached out at times to check up on me and I would do the same. I could not have love them more than my own parents, I owe so much to them both. I sent Bess a white glass Iris several years back that I found in Italy and in my letter, I told her that it reminded me of the Iris garden she had along the picket fence that once separate our properties years back. My deepest condolences to Kerry and Ladonna, I truly feel your loss. My love for your family has and will always be a part of me! Rod
