Charlotte R. (Weyandt) Schmeltz, 73, of Jeannette died Sunday January 20, 2019 in the Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was born March 18, 1945, in Irwin a daughter of the late Eugene and Ella (McKelvey) Weyandt. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Eugene Weyandt; two sisters Patricia Klingerman and Connie Cooper. Surviving are her husband George T. Schmeltz; two sons Chad Schmeltz, of Greensburg and Erik Schmeltz and his wife, Jennifer, of North Huntingdon; three grandchildren Morgan Schmeltz, of Greensburg, Erik and Karson Schmeltz both of North Huntingdon; sisters and brother Beverly Black, of Irwin, Chuck Weyandt and his wife, Karen, of New Alexandria, Donna Grguric and her husband Arthur, of Saltsburg and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ott Funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin. A blessing service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Irwin Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon.
