Nicolas Blagojevic of Warrington, PA passed away on Tuesday February 5, 2019 at Luther Woods Convalescent Center in Horsham. He was 76 years old.

He was the son of the late John and Anastasia Blagojevic. Nicolas was the husband of Judith A. (Nee Carlson) Blagojevic. He was the father of John (Carol) and Drew (Kathy) Blagojevic. He is also survived by his three grandchildren (Corinne, Nicolas, Evan).

Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, Nick told stories of having spent his childhood summers on the beaches of Montenegro and winters skiing the mountains of Yugoslavia. Nick and his parents escaped Yugoslavia in 1950 when he was eight years old and moved to Paris, France near his mother’s family.

At the age of 15, the family obtained their visas to come to the United States. Nick spent his 16th birthday crossing the Atlantic Ocean. He attended high school in Flushing, NY where he played football and basketball. Nick won an athletic scholarship to Tulane University in New Orleans. He later moved back to New York, where he met Judy at Cornell Medical Center. The two married in May 1964 and settled in the Philadelphia area.

Nick enjoyed his career as a salesman and loved coaching his sons’ basketball teams. He spent his free time entertaining family and friends and fishing at the New Jersey shore.

Nicolas’s Funeral Service will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on February 12, 2019 at the Shelly Funeral Home 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington, PA where the family will receive friends after 11:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be held in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
