Condolence From: Janice Nixon
Condolence: Dear Iris I am on the phone with my cousin Norma Cameron and she just told me about Jim’s passing (and being very apologetic about not letting me know at the time). I am so sorry for your loss. I have memories of walking through the lane and seeing you and/or Jim at your end. When I am next in Perth, I hope might see you. Janice

Condolence: I met Jim at the swimming pool as I’m sure did so many others. For years through the 90’s and beyond Jim was a regular there posting his nightly mile swim. Jim always had a friendly smile and a kind word for anyone around him. He genuinely liked people and delighted in interacting with them. I met him again at the pool years later, his health much declined, but still smiling and still seeking engagement with all around him. No more mile swims, but he still loved being there. He was a bright light in Perth, and I will miss him.

Condolence From: Bruce and Nancy Palmer McAlpine
Condolence: Iris and family, Bruce and I were sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Over the years I have always heard wonderful stories about Jim and his keen mind and kind nature. He will be missed by many folks, I am sure.
It was our pleasure to have had a last visit with him at Aunt Madalene's home, last Spring. We enjoyed chatting with you both that day, and Jim made my day by saying he remembered and enjoyed the singing of Amazing Grace in the Park,; it must be 51 years ago!
May your many years of memories bring you comfort.
Most sincerely, Bruce & Nancy
