WELLS, GAIL ELLA 1937 – 2019 - Gail passed away on February 27 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Sweetsburg, Quebec to Ruth and Luther Wells, she grew up in Morrisburg, Ontario. After local schooling, she graduated from Ottawa Teachers College, and taught special needs children at Smith Falls. She subsequently moved to Welland where she spent the rest of her teaching career. She was dedicated to her profession, and keenly interested in the future careers of her pupils. Predeceased by her longtime friend Bruce Roland, Gail is survived by her brothers Lee and Larry, sister Lorraine, and several nieces and nephews. She was especially appreciative of the constant kindnesses of her friends and medical personnel who were with her to the end. The family will receive relatives and friends at the H.L Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. for a memorial visitation.
