Obituary for Joyce Elizabeth Taylor (Hamilton)
Taylor, Joyce Elizabeth [Hamilton] - With sadness the family announces the death of Mrs Joyce Taylor of Latchford at the age of 80 years. Mrs Taylor passed away peacefully at the Temiskaming Hospital in New Liskeard on Tuesday April 23, 2019.
She was born on September 23, 1938 in Englehart to the late Leonard Hamilton and to the late Patricia Poulin. Mrs Taylor was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed the company of family and friends and no one would go home on an empty stomach after a visit at her house. She would always start her morning with a good cup of coffee while watching the birds that would frequent her property. Many will remember Joyce as a cook at various restaurants and taverns throughout the area. She loved to garden and would always await her son-in-law John's return from the lake with fresh fish.
Mrs Taylor is predeceased by her parents; her husbands Donald Taylor and Leo Lapointe; her children Leonard, Kirk, Micheal, Don Jr. Taylor, Debbie Taylor and by her sisters Peggy McPherson and Jackie Draper and her brother Stan Hamilton. Also predeceased by her brothers-in-law Roy Taylor, Rod Taylor, Bob Taylor and Barry Taylor and her parents-In-law Percy and Elsie Taylor.
She is survived by her loving daughter Vicki and her husband John Aitchison; her grandchildren Kris, Tim, Dave, J.J, Mike, Justin, Wyatt, Zachary, Jared and special Nana to Samantha (Keven) and Rebecca (fiance Joey). Also surviving are siblings Patrick and his wife Pierrette Hamilton, Tom and his wife Sonia Hamilton, Nonie and her husband Ernest Ouimet; her sisters-in-law Linda Gadoury, Linda Taylor, Henriette Taylor, Gladys Taylor and brother-in-law Joe Taylor and his wife Donna Vorano.
In keeping with Mrs Taylor's wishes cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions to Care Close to Home will be gratefully acknowledged. Condolences may be left at www.buffamleveille.com
