Obituary for Clara Russell

Clara   Russell
Clara Russell passed on June 8, 2019 with her loved ones by her side at Pierce Memorial Baptist Home in Brooklyn, CT. Clara was born June 10, 1930, daughter of the late Walter Tingley and Georgia Ellen Miller. She was married to Glen Hoyt for 16 years until his passing. She later re-married to Ross Russell whom she was married to for 33 years until his passing.

She retired from Yankee Machine Shop in Vernon where she had worked for many years. In her retirement years, she enjoyed her winters in Florida with her brother and summers in Connecticut and Maine with family. She enjoyed solving word searches and doing puzzles. She loved to crochet and could make whatever you wanted. She loved to shop and would of gone every day to the dollar store and Walmart if you were willing to bring her and never wanted to be alone.

She is survived by her 3 sons and daughter-in-laws: Gale Hoyt (Pam) of Coventry, CT, Dennis Hoyt (Terry) from Mount Holly, North Carolina and Tommy Hoyt (Sara) of Terryville, CT and 6 daughters: Ellen Hanington (Larry) of Wytopitlock, ME , Nyoka Irish of Wytopitlock, ME, Roseanne Cooks (Sam) of Elizabethtown, KY, Phyllis McDonald (Doug) of Laurens, South Carolina, Sharon Dumas (Dave) of Pomfret, CT and Yvonne Solenski (Walter) of Coventry, CT and a special daughter-in-law Linda Hoyt of Columbia, CT. She is survived by her 2 brothers: Lawrence Tingley of Florida and Virgil Tingley of Connecticut and 4 sisters who live in Maine: Vera Rockwell, Marion McKee, Connie Graham and Dorothea Smith. She is also survived by 27 grand children, 28 great grand-children and 7 great, great grand children as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands, 7 siblings, one son, 2 step-daughters, 3 son-in laws and one grandson,

Graveside services will be held at Linneus Maine Cemetery, Linneus, Maine followed by a gathering.
