PEELER, Gilbert Wesley – Peacefully on July 24, 2019 in his 92nd year. Cherished husband and best friend for 70 years of Rhoda Peeler (nee Dixon). Loving father of Wendy Mc Glashan (Kirk), Marsha Watts (Charles), Mark Peeler (Darla) and Linda Dolan (Dan). Dearest grandfather of Tavis (Janice), Meaghan (John), Samantha (Richard), Natalie (David), Tara (Jason), Cody (Amber), Ethan (Jennifer), Josh and Jessie (Mitch) as well as 12 great grandchildren. Sadly missed by his brother Grenville Peeler and his many nieces and nephews. Gilbert is predeceased by his son Alfred Charles as well as his brothers Doug and Bruce. Special thank you to Dr. Scher, Alex Korton, Robin Sider and all of the personal support workers for all their care and support. A service to celebrate Gilbert’s life will be held in the chapel of the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, August 2nd at 12:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Welland County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
