Condolences

Condolence From: Dan Leonard
Condolence: Though my personal acquaintanceship with Joe has fairly limited (and only, relatively, recent) interaction that I can cite, my history is so closely connected to that of Joe and his devoted wife, Barb, of the fondly enduring 66 years they spent together that, upon my recent learning of his passing away, I could not in good conscience forsake the opportunity to add my condolences. In fact, the role that Joe played factors in to my history so much, it predates my life by several years. It was with Jack Leonard that he, Barb and Dell (my mom) went on-what I have been told-was double blind-date. Such was the relationship between he and my dad and my mom and Barb that, adding together my parent's marriage and Joe's and Barb's marriage, both couples enjoyed over 111 years of that special sacrament. Barb, as my parents were not able to reach and enjoy the milestone that you and Joe did, I hope you know, in faith, (and I believe) that my parents would be (and are) pleased that you were both able to be together for so long as you had been. I am so very sorry to have learned of his loss. I regret that I didn't avail myself of a time (or 2 or 3) to speak to him and learn of his recollections and experiences with his lifelong friend, my dad. Likely, it was a veritable treasure chest of fond memories that, with the exception of the key that you hold, will remain locked until some unknown time later. Please know that I have kept (and will continue to keep) you and Joe, dearly, in my prayers. May he rest in peace! May my mom and dad be welcoming his appearance!

Condolence From: Al Bechard
Condolence: Even though I have only known him for a few years, I liked him. He seemed like someone I would liked to have known better. May you rest in ever lasting peace.
