SMITH, Marion Irene – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Days before her 97th birthday, Marion passed away on August 24th, 2019. Marion was the beloved wife of Warren (1992). Loving mother of Donna Procter (Ronald) and Joyce Cocks (Ralph). Proud grandmother of Tom Procter, Sherry Procter, Tracey Chasse, Randy Cocks (Tracey) and Marsha Jones (Mark). Loving great grandmother of Kelsie, Jenna, Matthew, Adam and Cassandra (Ryan) and great great grandmother of Maylin. Predeceased by her parents Milton and Myrtle Chambers and siblings Lois Stickles and Doug Chambers. Marion lived in Welland for many years before moving to Fenelon Falls to operate a resort with her husband. After retiring from the resort she spent her last 25 years at the Black Creek Retirement Community. The family will receive their friends at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held in the Cudney Chapel on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock.
