Obituary for Robert Earnest Horner II

Mr. Robert Earnest “Bobby” Horner II, age 55 a resident of Belington departed this life Saturday December 19, 2020 in the Davis Medical Center in the Emergency Department at Elkins. He had been declining in health, but death was unexpected.
He was born June 28, 1965 at Baltimore, MD, a son of Robert Earnest Horner Sr, who survives at Buckhannon and the late Kathleen Rebekah Rollyson Horner.
Bobby is survived by his loving companion of many years; Shelly Hall of Belington, one daughter; Rebekah Workman of Coalton, siblings; Mike Thompson address unknown, Timothy Thompson of Mooresville, NC, Charles “Bill” Thompson address unknown, Barbie Horner of Shinnston, WV, special caregiver; Shannon Holbert. Additional survivors include five grandchildren; Greysen Mayle, Audrey Workman, Gavin Workman, Wayman Workman, and Iris Workman. Also surviving are two special nephews, whom called him Pap; Dalton & David, nephew Daniel Horner, and mother in law Catherine Simmons of Belington.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by one son; Robert Earnest Horner III, and one brother; Roger Thompson.
Bobby attended the schools of Barbour County and was a social member of the VFW. He was self-employed as a carpenter before becoming disabled. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed woodworking and carpentry. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
