Obituary for Shirley B. Renfro

Shirley B. Renfro, 88
Shirley B. Renfro, 88, E. Locust Street, Richmond, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, in Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 14, 1920, in Madison County, Ky., the son of the late Luther and Minnie Lowery Renfro. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Knob Lick Baptist Church. He enjoyed whittling and was known for his wood carvings and hand-carved clocks.
Survivors include: his wife of 62 years, Louise Barnes Renfro; one son, Ronald (Nadeen) Renfro of Richmond; one daughter, Barbara (Kenneth) Bicknell of Richmond; two granddaughters, Kenna (Ricky) Agee and Kristie (Mark) Howard; two great-grandsons, Treston and Tyler Agee; one brother, Tony Renfro of Richmond; two sisters, Hazel Renfro of Somerset and Gracie Rawlins of Lexington; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Max.
He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Cecil and Demon Renfro; and four sisters, Esther Renfro, Ada Foster, Dorothy Matthews and Margie Kersey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept., 19, 2008, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Owen Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Madison Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Renfro, Danny Renfro, William Kersey, Greg Renfro, Donald Hill, Lewis Sparks and Kenny Johns.
