R.C. Vaughn was born to James and Mattie Vaughn on May 26, 1922 in Center Point, Arkansas. He went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 13, 2009. His parents, eight siblings, one son and wife preceded him in death. He married the former Elsie Coulter on November 7, 1943 where they lived and loved each other for 58 years. To this union, three sons were born; Ralph, Alvin and Roger. A devoted husband, father and ambassador, R.C. was well known and loved by all throughout Nashville and Howard County. R.C. was baptized into the Church of Christ and served as Treasurer for many years at the Dodson Street Church of Christ. R.C. was employed by the State of Arkansas for over thirty years as an Agriculturalist where he received many awards and accolades for his outstanding service and dedication. He leaves to mourn his passing two sons Alvin (Rose) of Nashville, Arkansas and Roger (Stacy) of Atlanta, Georgia, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, close friends and brothers and sister in Christ.
Services are 11:00AM Wednesday March 18, 2009 At Dodson Street Church of Christ in Nashville with Bro. Juerga Smith officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.
