Nannie Alice Easterly, 82, of the Moccasin section of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011, peacefully with her granddaughter, Pam, by her side. Born February 18, 1929, in Wise County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Parilee Evans King. She was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, her husband John Easterly; two infant daughters; brothers, Paul King, Ralph King and J.W. King and step-brothers, Allen King, Pete King and J.C. King also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Dana Statzer, Patsy Rhoten and husband Cecil all of Abingdon, VA, Nancy Charles and husband Jeff of Bristol, TN and Shirley Easterly of the home; sons, Johnny K. Easterly of Lebanon and Eddie Easterly and wife Della of Elizabethton, TN; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and two brothers, Delmer King of Moccasin and Elmer King of Lebanon. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers will be Gary Salyer, Billy Salyer, Danny King, Jimmy King, Bobby Easterly and Phillip Dale.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Easterly, Gary Easterly, Randy Easterly, Curtis Easterly, Wayne Easterly, Ronnie King, Barry King, Billy Stike and Adam Tweed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, at Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Darryl Baker and Rev. James Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday after 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
