Special Olympics

I will always remember the early days of Special Olympics when we at the University (Special Ed and Physical Ed) planed for and facilitated the transition of the Games from MHS to the Coliseum area. We laid the groundwork for this incredible athletic event. Fortunately, special athletes continue to enjoy the benefit of being able to participate in the event we started in the mid or late 1970's (as memory serves me.)
Gabe was a tireless worker for a cause to which he made a life-time commitment.
Distance prevents me from travelling to Morgantown to celebrate the life of this "very good man."
