❤ A loving daughter ❤ A thoughtful friend ❤ A talented lady
As a caregiver to both of my parents, I looked up to Kate for the gentle, sweet and loving way she cared for her mother. I took this photo on July 31 2011 when Kate, her mother and I went to the James A. Michener Art Museum one afternoon. We viewed the exhibits, had lunch, and simply enjoyed each other's company. It was a lovely afternoon. Recently, this past November of 2013, I was going through a grueling training process for a position as a Weight Watchers leader. On the way to one of the sessions, I was feeling very frustrated and overwhelmed. I was in the car, about to turn around and go home. I called Kate. "You've done harder things than this," she told me. She coached me on - and helped me erase my self-doubt. I am so glad I had the chance to tell Kate how much her encouragement and support meant to me - how I almost didn't go back. Today I am a Weight Watchers leader and when I go to work to help others, I think to myself it's thanks to my friend Kate.
Kate was a dear friend, a Bensalem neighbor and a colleague. I feel blessed to have known Kate - and honored to have been one of her friends. I will miss her very much. We used to shop together, talk on the phone every week, walk around the neighborhood, swap magazines, have coffee together, share our love of fashion, books and favorite tv shows or movies. Life gets in the way of friendships sometimes. Cherish the ones you have in your life. ❤
