Dear Uncle Lou, I want you to know the special place you hold in my heart and the fond memories I hold dear. Growing up, the highlight of my summer was our trips to Squamish and your visits here. In my mind, you were like Santa Claus year-round with a jolly laugh and bags of treats we could only dream of when you weren't around! You letting us have turns shaking the Polaroid pictures, fresh out of the camera so we could watch happy times develop before our eyes - so magical to a child! Summers spent camping, fishing and swimming at Lac le Jeune, roasting marshmallows around the campfire, good times and wonderful memories! I also admire the strength and love you exude, raising five children on your own. I know what a struggle it can be at times being a single parent myself and I only have one but the rewards outweigh the challenges! This is evident in the kind, loving, well-rounded children you have raised! You will be missed but always in our hearts and I take comfort in knowing that one more angel has been added to the ones already watching over us! We are so lucky and blessed!
