I was so sad to hear about Dr. and Mrs. Day. Living down the street from them, I was lucky to experience first hand what kind, loving and inspirational people they were. Early on in grade school, I was tasked to write a paper on an inspirational person. Someone I looked up to. I wrote about Ruth Day! I will never forget their kindness.

It was our good fortune to have Ruth and Frank as neighbors. They were both inspirational people. We will remember all the kind ways they touched everyone's lives with their giving and loving spirits. I can see Ruth's smiling face and twinkling eyes as I think of her now.
