Mom's Faith

Mom had an immense faith in God. Passing on her joy to all that knew her. Even though her body was ridden with rheumatoid she carried on with a determined strength that I greatly admired in her. I remember her tears as she suffered great pain sometimes, even then she did not complain. As the disease twisted her beautiful hands, little known to others, i would watch her hide them when people came to visit. It was not until years later that she stopped doing this saying it was what she had and would not be ashamed of them. But I always said she was beautiful, that beauty came from within. In her last days Mom was not afraid and even though she was weak and in pain her immense strength showed. She asked what do I do now and I told her to pray, it's all we can do. So Mom and I prayed, I listened to her words as I held her hand. Words in that prayer as beautiful as her heart. A prayer for God to help her and do His will. What her prayer held most was for God to hold her family as we faced what may come. We finished by saying psalms 23 together, she was at peace. Mom is now dancing in heaven with Dad.She leaves behind her faith, strength and love with all those that knew her.
