I met Clarisse 36 years ago when I married my husband John. She had a black lab whose name was Baba. She said it meant Grandma in Hungarian. Anytime we came to visit, she would feed us and of course send us home with something, for the road. When John would visit her without the rest of our family, she would send him home with something for each of us. Usually cookies or candy for the kids, and a purse, clothes or even a toaster for me. She would always tell our daughters how beautiful they were, and the boys how handsome & strong they were. All 3 of our sons had helped with their Dad in some chores around her place. She remembered each of our 7 kids by name when she called on the phone & asked about each one, how they were doing & where they were. She was a very smart & resourceful woman, independent & self sufficient. She was an inspiration. She was dearly loved and will be missed. Felling at a loss as we werent told she had died, so we didnt get to go to the funeral. Last we talked to her was Thanksgiving. Rest in peace with Jesus Clarisse. We love you.
