I am so sad to hear of Barb's death. She played many roles in her life. I knew her as a loyal friend who approached everything so optimistically. Whether making hundreds of candy apples with her sports teams, making countless blacklight props or devoting countless hours with her students inside and outside the classroom, she did everything with an open heart and little thought of personal gain. Barb had a prodigious memory for cards played and was a formidable opponent, as I know to my own chagrin. I will miss Barb very much and her passing will leave a void in my life.
