Welcome to Heritage Funeral Centre

Heritage Funeral Centre has been in operation since 1997. Our newly renovated facility is the largest single level funeral home in central Toronto, and boasts spacious visitation rooms and coffee lounges, as well as parking for over 200 cars.

We are privately owned and operated by Mr. Glen Day and his family, carrying on his family’s legacy of excellence in funeral services for the fourth generation.

Although a death in the family is one of the most difficult times one will ever have to face, we are confident our staff will offer you professional guidance, and support with all the necessary decisions and arrangements. Besi's smile

Hello. I am Pierre. My wife Barbara and I have been neighbours to Besi and George for more than 14 years. In the Fall of 2002, we moved into the very home in which they themselves had lived and raised their three children before moving to the other half of our semi-detached homes. It is mostly on our shared porch that we met and talked.

    Besi could tell us about all the successive dwellers of our home, including her sister, between the time she and George moved out and our own arrival. She could also tell us about all the changes that had been made to our house, and would assess the changes that we had made ourselves. We talked about how she and George had originally found this home and about how nice everybody was… many years ago! We talked about how much she enjoyed it when she was working. We talked about the weather, about the news, about Greece, about racoons (Besi did not like racoons), about leaves on the lawns (she did not like leaves either), about grand-children (… she liked grand-children…), about health issues, about family trips to Greece or to Las Vegas. To tell the truth, unless the weather was particularly warm and sunny, conversations generally started on a gloomy note. But Besi was never morose for very long. After asking “… what can we do?...” we would move on to talk about grand-children, or about nice her life had been and still was here. And then Besi smiled… No conversation, even in the last few months, ever ended without her big beaming smile. And that smile made my day. I wish I could share it with you. I will miss it so much. But that is also how I will remember her.
