WATERBURY – David A. Clarke Sr age 72 formerly of Oakville passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Abbott Terrace Healthcare Center.

David was born on April 12, 1944 in Waterbury, the son of the late Albert Jr and Doris (Northrup) Clarke. He was educated in local schools, graduated from Kaynor Technical High School and was a veteran of the US Army Reserves during the Vietnam Era. David was an accomplished draftsman and designer who worked for several area companies including, Chase Brass and Copper, Bristol Babcock, Cyanamid and American Seal. David was mechanically inclined and loved to go camping with his family and friends. He was a member of the Union Congregational Church in Oakville for many years. David will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his children, David A Clarke Jr and his wife Lynn of Prospect, Steven W Clarke of Southington and Deborah Wilkerson and her husband Robert of Waterbury and his grandson Trevor.
Funeral services for Mr. Clarke will be held on Wednesday February 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd in Waterbury with the Rev Waldo Lanquist officiating. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may visit with David’s family on Wednesday morning from 9:00 till the service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
