I remember the first time Robert called us from LA & told us that he really liked  our shop & made plans to to come to Portland. Oddly I never asked him how he found us. He sent us this crazy photo booth strip of him wearing assorted cat eye glasses with these humorous poses &  grins. He had this funny side that was alway entertaining. The photo of Robert in is from 1980's when he arrived here in Portland. Herb Gideon Heidi Wolfe & I had a Punk Rock Store on Center Street Portland. That was the beginning of a long enduring friendship. During those years  I was part of Roberts first musical project called Volume Control from hence came The Willard Grant Conspiracy. Robert would call me from many places during his travels around this world to tell me of his adventures. He alway came to visit when he was in the area too. I always loved hearing from him. This soft hearted, timid, intellegent man will always have a place in my heart. I love you Robert. ~ Beth
