John has left a wonderful legacy. After going through anesthesia school with John and working with him over the last 25 years, some things that resonate with me about John was his compassion and character (loved his dry sense of humor and quirky smile). John had a great worth ethic despite not feeling well at work for many of years. He was an awesome anesthetist who appreciated the art and science of anesthesia, was kindhearted, and he was always someone who you could consult with. He was devoted to his family, friends, colleagues, and his career in anesthesia. He will be missed greatly but his legacy will live on.
I was one of the lucky CRNA's who was able to work with John over many years. There aren't enough words to describe how much John was loved... not only for his humor but also for his intelligence, his empathy, his honesty, his friendship and so much more. Most of all, he was a truly loving and devoted husband and father. I feel blessed to have spent so much time with John over the years and will always have a special place in my heart for him. I pray for John's family that they will feel all the love of his friends at this difficult time and that it will help ease the pain of losing him.
