A rusty old tractor seat

Russ had some character qualities that were outstanding. He was not pretntious. He was gracious, congenial and generous. Russ exemplified gratitude. Once, Russ asked me if I could weld a new bottom into his rusted-out tractor seat. He never forgot it and I was rewared with delicious farm eggs that jus kept coming for the longest time. From time to time, Russ, with a big smile on his face, would tell me that his tractor seat was holding up just fine.
