Yolanda was my children's grandmother. She adored her twin grandsons, Edward III and William. She rushed to the hospital to meet them as soon as they arrived in March 2008. From the time the boys were babies, my husband and I would pile them in the car, along with our little dog, and drive to Smithtown to see Grandma Yolanda. She always found wonderful toys for them: a miniature Noah's Ark, a train and a smart-looking red and yellow car that they could ride around the house, and later on, bicycles that they could ride around the neighborhood. She loved to watch the boys play baseball with Daddy on the front lawn in the summer and build snow forts in the winter. She was a marvelous cook who made light as air chicken cutlets and omelettes for us when we visited. I remember that she was always happy to see us. Grandma Yolanda kept every memento and every handmade card from her grandsons. She even kept the pale blue foil wrapped chocolate cigars from the baby shower. We will miss her very much. xo Corinna
