Two of My Favorite People

As a young boy growing up in a very dysfunctional family on the EastSide of Sioux City, Iowa; I always remember the GREAT visits from my Uncle Dick/Aunt Peppa and their children (Nancy, Diana, Rick, Tammy, Twins). Each of their visits/interaction helped to bring joy/comfort into my lonely little life.

Uncle Dick / Aunt Peppa always had kind words, a smile or two, a handshake, a pat on the back; they never knew how much that meant. Uncle Dick often played catch with me using gloves and a baseball that I had; Aunt Peppa would often slip me a dime/nickle from out of her own pocket.

I'll bet their children/grandchildren inherited the wonderful traits that they displayed back then; I often wished that they had been my own parents.

Rest in Peace
