The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mary Dyck can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The kindness of eggs

Its amazing sometimes people come into your life and you can not  remember quite when or how. Perhaps ours

was over a load or two of enriching soil for our garden. It wasnt long before we realized that we would  spend hours conversing with a lovely couple Ed and Mary Dyck. Ed was always quick with a farm story or could catch us up on the weather,Mary became an unending source for garden advice.

Mary loved life filled with people and all kinds  of animals....reminded me so much of home. Mary loved to compare garden stories and we almost had a competition as to who would have the first new tomato or potatoe. We could not leave often without a tour of her garden and in the fall our arms were filled with vegetables that she just had a little too much of.

Recipes were often exchanged and I just had to have a taste of this or that ...that Mary was whipping up.We soon learnt that Mary had farm fresh eggs that could be had a moments notice. We enjoyed these knowing how precious they were not only in cartons but developing a friendship that wuld spill over  with Mary to our family as well. Once the kids had left home ...I would often get a phone call midweek to get ahold of Mary as there was a need for her eggs at their homes.     Mary loved to know where they were and what they were now doing.

Mary will be sadly missed by our whole family! Our heart felt sympathy at the loss of a vey special lady, mom, grandma and great grandmother. We got to know alot of you through the eyes of Mary!

Not an egg will be untouched or broken without a memory of a very dear and precious Mary!

Our thought and prayers
