John and I were big ELP fans. After seeing them in July at the Garden, I saw they were playing in Springfiled Mass, close to Worcester. I came up for the show. We hitched a ride to the show. It was cold, snow flurries were falling. Because it was a general admission concert, we had to wait on line for a good place to stand.

We took turns going to the McDonalds next door to get warm, and a coffee. When they finally let us in, we were right in front of  Keith Emerson right up to the stage front. The show was great.  On the way back, we had no ride. We hitched a ride from a guy with a 2 seater sports car. John sat on my lap all the way back to Worcester. It was better than walking!
