I remember when Mary got her first motorcycle. She called me and although we lived one block away, she said "lets meet at Jumpin Jacks for dinner." I arrived before her, as I waited and kept watching, suddenly I see this Hot Pink Motorcycle Helmet clad woman, with a black leather coat with embedded roses. I watched as Mary pulled in and drove directly to the middle of a bunch of harleys! She backed right in to the middle of them and parked. I was thinking "what the heck is she doing?" I laughed out loud, as the other bikers complimented her. It was adorable, she was adorable! I also recall Mary coming upon a family, where in her job, she did home visits for Aids patients. Becuase of her job, all I knew was this family had nothing, I mean nothing. I had a key to Marys house and was waiting for her one day to come home so we could go swimming. She pulled in and her car was stuffed full of everything you could think of. Clothing for the adults and children, bedding, towels, toys, personal use items, dish soap..just everything! And she bought it all herself to bless this family. Her heart was huge! So within these two stories, you should have laughed and then felt tears of joy in her personal and tender moments of bravery (motorcycle) and love with a struggling family. She just, without a second thought, gave what she could. It would be such a great world if we could all use this as an example of following your heart. Thanks for reading about my dear dear friend, Mary McKee <3
