The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Anne Ashton can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Millwood Avenue

We were blessed and fortunate to have Anne as neighbor at Millwood Avenue, having developed a very special relationship. She loved to bake and while I was away on a family trip my husband cooked a hot meal for himself, made extra and he dropped if off to Anne which from what she told me thoroughly enjoyed. Upon my arrival at home, there was a fresh apple pie on our counter, was he pleased. She found out his favorite was coconut cream, low and behold a knock on the door and pie in hand. So the circle began, unplanned delivered dinners and pie delivery at the door. Every time we hear coconut cream pie all we can think of is Anne, warm welcoming smile, sparkle in her eyes, kind and gracious, great sense of humor, wonderful laugh who loved a good story. Anne and I spent some quiet time together usually early evening or late afternoon. We would spend a lot of time talking about families, she was always so proud and thankful for all her family, sharing wonderful treasured memories which always bought a beautiful smile to her face and look of contentment.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Anne and all the family at this time.

Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand

Deepest sympathy to all at this time

John,

Betty Anne Hammer and family
