I extend condolences for all who have ever had the honor, to be blessed by the Valentine family. Our family, because that's who you are to all of us. This is a bittersweet memory with tears, tears, tears and it's taking a LOT to get through it but i have to share. It was 1961 in Pasadena, Ca. and i was 6 yrs. old at my Fathers funeral. I was walking behind my Mother who was very distraught. When it was my turn to view i had to stand on my tippy toes because i was too short. A tall man came from behind and lifted me up so i could take one last look at my Father. When he put me down, he was ever so gentle and when i looked up at his face, there was a smile behind the seriousness of it all. At that moment i felt a sense of reassurance that i couldn't readily identify due to my youth. Little did i know that i would see him many, many, more times throughout the years and he would always give that sense of reassurance. Fast forwarding 55 years, i now realize that smile was from the spirit, telling me, don't worry little one things will be alright, and you know ever since that day, it has been alright because a tall man lifted me up, so long ago and that tall man was Mr. Fred Valentine.
Sincerely,
Jeanine Narcisse
