Frank Jaramillo
So many memories of this wonderful GENIE man:
His working relationship with Bud Bushnell was built on trust, respect, and professionalism. Their informal meetings and conversations shaped the products and the company.
Arnold would typically share his lunch break with Paul Harvey on the radio. Given the size of the shop in the early years you could hear the radio show from one end to the other ("Now, page 2...")
Arnold always had VERY tight control of the shop supplies cabinet. If you needed something out of that cabinet you had to deal with Arnold and might well come away with some 'coaching' to go along with your supplies.
We learned from Arnold that FORD meant "First on Race Day." For many years he drove a dark green FORD (Galaxie or Fairlane?). Arnold took great pride in keeping the vehicle well maintained and clean.
Arnold hired and groomed his eventual replacement in the Tooling Department, Helmuth Hintz. These two gentlemen formed quite a partnership and together made a GREAT team!
Arnold was a HUGE fan of the NEEE-braska Cornhuskers football program. The 'Huskers typically won all/most of their games so you really didn't have much ammunition should you try to contest the point that his team wasn't all that he cracked them up to be.
Arnold, as much as anyone, you truly deserve rest and peace.
