Kurt was a towering and inspirational figure in our family's lives. His conversations were always lively, thoughtful, and vivid. Kurt and Lore were always very special. They were the first non-family visitors at the hospital when Alexander, our son, was born, and they thoughtfully brought Lore's chicken soup (with no chicken in it!) for Allison to get stronger.
