Sally Ann  Rogers (Lane)
A strong and courageous overcomer who had a great personality and sense of humor, Sally Ann Rogers, 88, of Centerville, passed away Friday, August 18th, 2017 at St. Leonard’s Center, Centerville.

She was born January 9th, 1929 in Dayton to Luella (Heinz) and Ted Lane. She retired from Hewlett Packard after 20+ years of employment.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Ricky and her sister Jean. Sally is survived by her husband of 43 years, Wesley, daughters Bonnie Meehan of Colorado Springs, CO, Wendy (Joe Lite) Rowan of Dayton, son Dennis Rowan of Melbourne, FL, step-son Jim Rogers (Cindy) of Bellbrook, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Sally was passionate about boating, traveling, entertaining and cooking. She and her husband had a boat on the Ohio River and enjoyed hosting, cooking and entertaining friends. They also loved traveling in their RV. Sally enjoyed reading as well. In their earlier years, Sally and Wesley loved playing golf, going bowling, and dancing. Sally talked Wesley into taking dance lessons and they even won some dancing contests.

You are invited to share some chocolate chip cookies, a favorite of Sally’s, with the family as we celebrate her life on Thursday August 24th beginning with a visitation from 10:30 -11:30 am at St. Leonard’s Chapel, 8100 Clyo Rd., Centerville, immediately followed by funeral services at 11:30 am. Burial to follow at David's Cemetery.
