Maria was a beautiful woman and a good friend. A generous person and a gracious hostess, she enjoyed opening her home and her heart to others. Deserving pride was always taken in herself, her family and her home. When we were both battling cancer, I remember her strength and conviction, as well as her caring and compassion for my struggle.
