SMITH, Merle J, - Passed away in Markham Stouffville Hospital, Wednesday September 27th, at 92 years of age, with family by her side. All her family had been with her or said their goodbyes in her ear by phone during the hours preceding her passing. Loving mother of Lynn (husband Don) and Paul (wife Kate). Loving grandmother of Kristine (Mark), Scott (Andréa), Grant (Adèle), Jason (Heather), Ryan (Tracy), Janice (Trevor), and John (Allie). Loving great grandmother of Amber, Aidan, Airlie, Graham, Elliotte, Dylan, Marley, Alexander, Duncan, Everret, Leyton, Cory, and Lucas. Loving sister of Gwen (Jack - deceased), Marion (Bob - both deceased), and Ollie (Bill - both deceased). Loving sister-in-law of Ken (Lois), Westley - deceased (June), and Evelyn (Doug - deceased). Loved by Robbin, Jennifer, her many nieces and nephews, and step-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her many friends and acquaintances.

Visitation to be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home (8911 Woodbine Ave, Markham, ON L3R 5G1) Sunday, October 1st, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and Monday, October 2nd, 2017 from 10:00 am - 10:55 am also at Chapel Ridge. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 am.
