Can not foget John's ready smile and warm handshake. Strong hands to match the strong body.  I know that he and Vera walked a lot and I think this carried him well into his later years.  His friendly voice still echoes in my mind and I love to think of the many conversations we had over the years.  Spending time at his table eating soup that he had made.  Truly enjoyable conversation and wonderful soup.  So glad that he has now found rest for his body in a better place.
