What a privilege...

Anyone who has had the good fortune to have walked into the McArthur house knows that you were always welcomed like an old friend who had been genuinely missed.  I am forever grateful to Mel and Rod for their welcoming, supportive, and caring natures during my formative years (as are every friend of any of the younger McArthur clan).  I remember being initially very intimidated by Mrs. McArthur (it took awhile to say Melanie) because I hadn’t encountered someone with her level of life force.  It was intuitively obvious, then as a teenager, and even moreso now as an adult, that Melanie committed her energies to the important parts of life - her family, friends, nature, beauty, truth and justice.  I feel privileged that I got to see, feel, hear, smell, & taste what a good life actually lived encompasses.  Melanie’s example left an undeniable mark on how I approach life and I one day hope to do it with as much passion, grace, and care as she did.  Her spark ignited and lives on as a guiding light of goodness in everyone lucky enough to have met her.

Thank you,

Brock
