I met John and Mary at Glad Tidings Church, shortly after my accepting Christ as Savior, and shortly before their becoming Mr. and Mrs. What a wonderful wedding day that was! Zeal for the Lord was personified in John. His confident walk with Christ was inspiration to stay strong and stay close to God. Now he is beholding His Face. Absent from the body, present with The Lord. Mortality is swallowed up by Life. He will preceed us in the Rapture, as of this writing. Meanwhile, we are deeply affected. We grieve the passing of a marvelous saint and precious friend. My husband, J.Scott, and son, Scott N, join me in expressing our heartfelt compassion and condolences to you, dear Mary, Marlene, and all those beloved of John. (A special love note to Eileen Fitzgerald, whose message I just saw and appreciated). Blessings; let's keep in touch, and come see us in western Maryland! It has been too long since our last visit. Thanks for being my friend who was closer than a brother. You helped me through some very difficult seasons of life, for which I will always be grateful. I learned much from you along the way, and feel privileged to have been your friend. You were my confidant and research buddy. P.S. Since you are now part of that great cloud of witnesses, please continue to pray for the rest of us. We still have more of life through which we must navigate. Until we meet again.
