William Robert  Jackson Jr.
William Robert Jackson, Jr., age 70, of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017.

Mr. Jackson was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, book editor for the Picayune Writer’s Group, and a past member of the Pearl River County Historical Society. Bill was much loved by the young people in his community for the many rides he provided to the local skating rink and local school sporting events.

He is survived by two sons, Peter Jackson of Austin, Texas, and Eric Jackson of Natchitoches, Louisiana; one brother, Alan E. Jackson of Carriere; three grandchildren, Jude T. Jackson, Lalita G. “Hatha” Jackson, and Malcolm S. Jackson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Robert Jackson, Sr. and Mary Odessa Jackson.

A memorial service will be held after the holiday season.
