Robert Pope Sr., 88, of Crestview Hills, KY passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 in the comfort of his home. Robert was born to serve his country, as a young man he joined the U.S. Marines and served in China and was one of the last Marines in China. After his military service, Robert became a Police Officer and worked his way up to the Cincinnati Police Lieutenant. He served as the Lieutenant until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his son: Daniel Pope who was killed in the line of duty as a Cincinnati Police Officer. Robert was also a loving family man, and he is survived by his loving wife of 66 years: Mary Jane Pope (nee: Pfaff), his dear children: Robert Pope Jr. (Robyn), and Kathy Kaiser (Ted), his beloved grandchildren: Annie Zinser (Kevin), Stephanie Ewald (Joe), Tim Kaiser (Lauren), and Kyle Pope, and 7 cherished great-grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be held for Robert on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 8am until 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2409 Dixie Hwy, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017. A memorial Mass will be held following the visitation at 10am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
