Condolence: Words cannot begin to describe the wonderful memories I will have of Marcella. Although I only knew her for about 8 years, she truly was like a grandmother to me. We cooked together, shared family stories and we became as close as one can be without related. I had the pleasure of spending the last summer with Marcella She shared many recipes with me we made falafel and grape leaves. We would drink Dina’s great Arabic coffee, we told stories of our heritage. Up until the last days of her life Marcella lived an incredibly active life. One that I aspire to follow. Thank you Famia, Johnny and Rita for letting me be a part of your special Mom’s life. I will live in her footsteps for the rest of my life. I grieve with you all over the sudden loss of Marcella Hawat. Michele Tylosky
