The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ms. Carolyn Jean "Jeannie" Allison can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Marybeth MacArthur

I first met Jeannie in 1957, we were very young and my family had just moved to Douglastown. Jeannie welcomed my sister and I with open arms, and we became a tight knit group of 5 girls of roughly the same age- the Lloyd sisters (Shirley Ann and Linda), my sister Heather, Jeannie and I. We would hang around together from then until High School graduation. "Lower town" was a great place for teenagers; we had so many adventures and made life lasting memories. The last time I saw Jeannie was at her nephew's wedding in her old stomping ground, the back field behind the property she grew up in. We had a grand chat and promised we would keep in touch. I will always remember, and plan to attend the service on that same riverbank in July.
